Du fertigst auf Grundlage von Konstruktionszeichnungen Modelle für Gießereierzeugnisse an. Dabei berücksichtigst du das Formverfahren, die Eigenschaften des zu vergießenden Metalls und die Anzahl der erforderlichen Formprozesse. Du erstellst Fertigungspläne und legst das Fertigungsverfahren fest. Zur Modellherstellung bearbeitest du verschiedene Werkstoffe, beispielsweise durch Drehen, Bohren oder Fräsen. Mit speziellen Messgeräten kontrollierst du die Abmessungen der Modelle und prüfst ihre Funktionsfähigkeit. Anhand der Modelle stellst du Gießereimodelleinrichtungen oder Dauerformen für den Guss der Werkstücke her, prüfst sie und hältst sie instand. Nicht immer sind Neuanfertigungen erforderlich, gelegentlich lassen sich vorhandene Modelle und Modelleinrichtungen ändern.
Während deiner 3,5-jährigen Ausbildung durchläufst du alle für dich relevanten Abteilungen und bekommst die Ausbildungsinhalte entsprechend vermittelt. Von Beginn an bist du Teil unseres Teams und kannst als angehender techn. Modellbauer der Fachrichtung Gießerei (m/w/d) deine Fähigkeiten einbringen.
